Camp Pennyroyal is located near Owensboro, KY with its own 8-acre spring feed lake and offers high ropes course and plenty of hiking trails to explore. The camp typically hosts Girl Scouts grades K-12 with up to 90 campers.
The Assistant Director assists in the maintenance of general camp operations. They work closely with the Camp Director to manage the budget, communication, Trading Post (camp store), and support the needs around camp. This position also participates in daily aquatic and program activities, trains staff, participates in daily camp life, and more.
The Program Director supervises staff in the program areas, assists in training staff, and supports all program needs around the camp. Other duties include participating in daily aquatic activities, supporting cookouts, managing campfire programs, participating in daily camp life, and more.
The Waterfront Director oversees our aquatic program, facilities, and equipment. The Waterfront Director trains and supervises unit staff in aquatic areas, works with campers, and supports needs around camp. This position also manages lifeguards and water watchers by creating rotation schedules, planning regular drills, and maintaining safety standards. Other duties include supporting cookout nights, participating in daily camp life, and more.
The Kitchen Manager works to manage the kitchen by completing food orders, planning menus, preparing 3 meals and one camp-wide snack daily, delegating kitchen tasks to staff, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of an industrial grade kitchen.
The Kitchen Assistant works closely with their team to help complete food orders, plan menus, prepare 3 meals and one camp-wide snack daily, and maintain the cleanliness and safety of an industrial grade kitchen.

Duties include managing camper and staff medications, responding to first aid needs, providing healthcare in emergency and non-emergency situations, anticipating and meeting group and individual needs, developing care plans, supporting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of campers and staff, and more.
Unit Leaders provide the ultimate summer camp experience for Girl Scouts by supervising a living unit, completing unit paperwork, coordinating camper-led planning, delivering daily programming, and being a champion of fun. Unit Leaders work under the Team Director to provide direction for their unit, typically comprised of 4-24 campers with 2-3 Camp Counselors.
Camp Counselors supervise a living unit while delivering daily programming and being a champion of fun. Counselors work in teams of 2-4 with a Unit Leader and provides daily programming, like swimming, boating, games, nature education, and more! A unit is typically comprised of 4-24 campers.
Bear Creek Aquatic Camp is tucked away on Kentucky Lake, near Paducah, KY and offers a variety of aquatic sports (sailing, paddling, canoeing, and swimming). This camp hosts Girl Scouts in grades 4-12 with up to 70 campers per session.

They may also be asked to work on teams of 2-3 counselors and unit leaders to oversee a unit typically comprised of 4-24 girls which includes sleeping in unit, helping cover breaks and assisting with unit programming as needed.
The Boating Director manages our extensive boating program, facilities, and equipment: powerboats, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, and windsurfing. This position manages a team of boating coordinators to ensure proper boating technique and safety is being instructed. The Boating Director also supervises unit staff during boating programing, foster professional development, and support all needs around camp.
