What’s great about Girl Scout camp? Everything!

We offer many opportunities for Girl Scouts to enjoy camping. Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana has seven properties with hundreds of acres throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana available for camping activities.

Each camp has a unique outdoor setting and has been developed with a particular type of camping and set of activities in mind. Whether you want a rustic, back-to-nature experience or all the comforts of modern amenities (and indoor plumbing!), we have the perfect location.

Properties in the council range from a 12 acre park like facility to a 1,400 acre wooded wilderness, and each provides a unique experience for the camper.

  • Barren Ridge is a 220-acre camp on the Barren River Reservoir near Glasgow, KY.
  • Bear Creek Aquatic Camp is a 183-acre camp on the shores of Kentucky Lake near Benton, KY, and is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA).
  • Camp Pennyroyal is a 180-acre camp with an 8-acre lake, in Utica just 15 minutes from Owensboro, KY.
  • Camp Shantituck is a 112-acre camp on Cedar Creek near Sheperdsville, KY with an outdoor pool.
